Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of tridentwelds.com and the general conditions under which Trident Ironworks & Marine Fabrication provides welding and fabrication services. Specific jobs are also governed by the written estimate you approve, which controls if there is any conflict with this page.

2. Use of this website

• The content here is provided for general information about our services. It is not engineering advice for your specific structure, vessel or installation.
• You may not scrape, republish or reuse site content, photographs or text without written permission.
• You may not attempt to disrupt the site, submit false information through the forms or use them to send unsolicited commercial messages.

3. Estimates and pricing

• Written estimates are free within Broward County and remain valid for 30 days.
• Prices in an estimate assume the conditions described. Hidden corrosion, restricted access, unexpected alloy or additional damage discovered on site may require a revised estimate, which you approve in writing before work continues.
• Material prices can move. If steel, stainless or aluminum pricing changes materially before an unapproved estimate is accepted, we may reissue it.
• After-hours and emergency rates are quoted verbally before dispatch and confirmed on the invoice.

4. Scheduling, deposits and payment

• Fabrication jobs over $2,500 generally require a 50% deposit, with the balance due on completion.
• Accepted payment methods: check, ACH, major credit cards and Zelle.
• Invoices are due on receipt unless the estimate states other terms. Balances more than 30 days late may carry a 1.5% monthly service charge where permitted by Florida law.
• Custom-fabricated items cannot be cancelled for refund once material is cut. Deposits on cancelled jobs are refunded less material and labor already incurred.

5. Client responsibilities

• Provide safe access to the work area, including dock, gate or garage access codes and any required site induction.
• Secure or remove vehicles, vessels, furnishings, pets and combustible materials near the work zone.
• Disclose known hazards: coatings containing lead, asbestos-bearing materials, fuel or gas lines, live conductors and structural concerns.
• Obtain any permits, HOA approvals or landlord consents required for the installation, unless the estimate states we will do so.

6. Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from completion on shop fabrication and on-site welding. Applied finishes carry the coater's warranty. The warranty excludes collision or storm damage, abuse, overloading, unauthorized modification or repair by others, corrosion caused by dissimilar metals or coatings introduced by others, normal wear, and failure to follow the care instructions provided at handover. Where you supply the material, the warranty covers workmanship only. Warranty service is provided during normal business hours.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability arising from any job is limited to the amount paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost charter revenue, lost profits, haul-out costs or delay damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Photography

We may photograph completed work for our portfolio. Vessel names, addresses and identifying details are withheld. Tell us in writing if you prefer your job not to be photographed and we will comply.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida. The parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution directly before commencing proceedings.
